Why will you bike for Smith?

There is no registration fee to ride in Bike for Smith; it is absolutely free! The route from Farmington, CT to Northampton is 49 miles and will take an estimated 6 hours including breaks. The ride begins at 10:30 am on Friday May 16th in Farmington. Most of the ride will be on designated cycle trails, the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail and the Manahan Trail. There is a small section of on-road riding in Westfield and Southampton. Interested riders do not have to have to ride this entire route and indicate the sections they would like to participate in when they register. Explore the route! Accommodations in Northampton, vehicle transportation, and support on the ride are not provided. This is ride at your own risk.
